Conference on
Social Networking

Theme: “From Local To Global”

November 17-21, 2008

Von Braun Center - Huntsville, Alabama

Countries all around the world are joining together to carry the banner of Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative aimed at young people everywhere. During the week of November 17 - 23, 2008, participants will will conduct a range of activities - from keynote speeches from industry experts to comprehensive competitions - designed to inspire, connect, inform, mentor and engage the next generation of entrepreneurs.

SoNet University will be officially open to the world during this worldwide initiative that is linking all those willing to embrace it.

SoNet is actively recruiting partners sponsors participants and coordinating related activities.   Activities, will be online and face-to-face training, featuring some of the brightest minds in social networking today.

Other activities include invention competitions, entrepreneurship film festivals, networking events, school-based activities, and social networking and entrepreneurship summits.

Call for Presentations

There will be series of 90-minute concurrent workshops scheduled during the conference. Potential facilitators should submit two (2) copies of an abstract, not to exceed one (1) page in length, related to the conference theme,

“Social Networking - From Local to Global.”

We are seeking proposals on four separate tracks:

  1. What Social Networking Platforms are Best for Which Kinds of Businesses
  2. Integrating Your Social Networks for a Greater Return..
  3. Experts In ( X ) - Social Networking Platform )
  4. Social Networking Techniques & Etiquette.
  5. Social Networking in the Cop orate World.
  6. Who owns your content / database.
  7. Corporate Training for Incorporating/Embracing Social Networking.
  8. The Next Big Thing.

Please indicate the appropriate track and group that your workshop is designed for.

Presentations should be research-based, and should reflect a balance between the presenter’s objective and subjective perspectives, be solution-oriented and designed for maximum audience participation.

The format may include presentation papers, interactive workshops, panels, etc.

Proposals for  presenters who plan to register for the conference will be given the highest priority.  Presenters will receive a 20% discount off the regular registration fee $149.00

Please complete return your abstracts to The Week postmarked no later than August 30, 2008.  Qualified applicants whose proposals are accepted will be notified by September  12, 2008.
Late or incomplete proposals will not be considered , so please review the contents thoroughly.
